Progression 2 Hair & Beauty

This course is designed for those who have a passion for Hair & Beauty and want to learn basic treatments before progressing onto Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy or Hair Level 2.

Progression to suitable qualifications such as the Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing or Level 2 Diploma in Hair and Media Make-up or Apprenticeship training.

Job opportunities could include working as a junior Beauty Therapist or trainee hair stylist in a salon. This course can enable you to progress onto further Hair or Beauty Therapy courses here at the College.

You will need to achieve 4 GCSEs grades including English and maths grades 3-1 (formerly D-G). Alternatively successful completion of a Foundation Entry Level 3 qualification and have achieved an Entry Level 3 Functional Skill in English and maths. Each applicant will be assessed on their individual merits, and a keen interest & self motivation in Hair and Beauty as a career is essential. You will also be invited to a skills day as part of your interview for this program, to ascertain your dexterity skills on a given task.
