This intensive one-day training course teaches delegates basic project management techniques, and is intended to familiarise delegates with the most common terms and the most current thinking about projects. It will also provide the basic knowledge required to attend more advanced project management courses.
About this course
At the end of the day, delegates will be able to:
Understand what is meant by a project
Understand what project management means
Identify benefits of projects
Identify the phases of a project’s life cycle
Enhance your ability to sell ideas and make presentations
Prioritise projects
Begin conceptualising your project, including goals and vision statements
Use a target chart and other planning tools
Complete a Statement of Work
This one day workshop is targeted at people who have little or no knowledge of project management tools or techniques, but have become involved with projects. They may be new or intended Project Managers, project administrators or support staff, who need to acquire a basic understanding in the shortest possible time.
