What is the entry process?For any person who is directly or indirectly associated with the safe storage and mounting of abrasive wheels and supervisors who require an understanding of the regulations to ensure company compliance with health and safety law.
What are the entry requirements?Minimum qualifications: entry level
You will need to have achieved a level of competence as an understanding of an engineering or construction environment is a necessary pre-requisite for this course and either workshop or on site experience would be an advantage.

What can I do after this course?There is no direct progression, but your employer will need to check your competence and enter your name on company register of people able to change wheels. There are, however, study programmes that are complementary to this course, such as practical grinding experience (available in the Industrial Training Unit on request).
