Two day workshop

Aims

1. To introduce basic psychodynamic theory relevant to the practice of psychosocial occupational therapy.
2. To provide two frameworks for thinking about the experience and potential therapeutic value of activity from a psychodynamic perspective.
3. To teach the principles of planning and facilitating activity groups for psychotherapeutic purposes.
4. To give participants the opportunity to experience two types of psychotherapeutic activity group – art and drama.
5. To highlight the special features of activity groups as forms of psychotherapy. Learning outcomes At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: 1. Distinguish the psychodynamic approach from other occupational therapy psychosocial frames of reference
