• Psychological experiments
• Introduction to Philosophy A and B
• Introduction to Formal Logic
• Choose from: Philosophical Texts 1, 2, 3 or 4; Introduction to Philosophy of Science

Year 2:

• Either Perception or Memory
• Critical Issues
• Individual Differences
• Social Psychology
• Neuropsychology
• Statistics
• Psychological Experiments (first half only)
• Realism
• Normativity
• At least two units from:

- Epistemology
- Political Philosophy
- Philosophy of Mind
- Ethics
- Philosophy of Language
- Logic 2
- Philosophy of Science
- Philosophy of Mathematics
- Or other second-year unit offered

Year 3:

• Four lecture units selected from a list of possible options
• Final year project in Psychology (half weight of Single Honours)
• Two Philosophy optional units
• One extended essay

Entry Requirements

14-19 Advanced Diploma

• Grade B in the Diploma in Society, Health and Development to include A at A-level in a science subject

BTEC

• DDD-DDM including science units

Access

• Pass Access to HE Diploma with at least 12 credits at Distinction and 21 credits at Merit

SQA

• SH: AAAAA-AAABB
• AH: two preferred.
• To include at least two sciences; can include Psychology and Geography

Welsh Bacc

• Pass Advanced Diploma with AA-AB in two A-levels; one in a science subject

IB Diploma

• 36 points including 18 at Higher level, with at least one science at Higher level

EB

• 80% including at least one science subject at 7.5

IELTS

• 6.5 in all parts

Subjects required at GCSE or equivalent
Mathematics, English, Science

Selection:
UCAS form; occasionally interview
