Profile This course is for those who wish to pursue a career in Public Health and/or Health Services Research in the UK or internationally with the UK National Health Service (or its equivalent abroad), local government, the voluntary sector or academic health care. It is suitable as preparation for the Part A examination of the Faculty of Public Health.

Course programme
The Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) consists of 60 credits of taught modules and provides an introduction to the methods of public health and health services research.
Postgraduate DiplomaYou must successfully complete 120 credits of taught modules to be awarded the Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip).
MScThe full MSc combines taught modules up to the value of 120 credits and a dissertation for 60 credits, totalling 180 credits.

Entry Requirements
A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, in a medical, health or social sciences discipline. You can also apply if you have successfully completed the fourth year of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course, or equivalent.
If you have a different background you will be considered on an individual basis. If you have non-standard qualifications then you will be invited to an interview.
