Do you aspire to make a difference at nonprofits, healthcare organizations, or government agencies? A minor in public service will introduce you to the field of public management.
You’ll learn how managers operate in publicly controlled bureaucracies. You’ll also learn how to contribute to public policy formation, strategic planning, and implementation. Other topics include the fundamentals of budgeting in the public sector, nonprofit management, organizational operations, and public and nonprofit human resource management.
You’ll get one-on-one attention in small classes of 20-25 students. And you’ll learn from the best. Your professors have years of public service experience, and many are leading research projects in the field.
