Course programme

For this Award, you will study seven Units. These are a combination of Mandatory and Optional Units and include: Public Service Skills, Career Planning for the Public Services, Improving Health and Fitness for Entry to the Uniformed Public Services, Employment in the Uniformed Public Services, Citizenship, the Individual and Society, Crime and Its Effects on Society and Adventurous Activities and Teamwork for the Public Services. There will be opportunities throughout the course for you to improve your Mathematics and English skills and to use appropriate computer software. Outdoor activities are essential elements of the course as are Skills for Life/Functional Skills IT. Day and residential visits are an integral part of the course.
