About this course
Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90% attendance. A GCSE in both English and maths at grade 4 (C) or above is required, plus another 2 GCSE subjects at Grade 4 (C) or above. Applicants must have also completed the BTEC Level 3 90 Credit Diploma in Public Services.
Consideration will be given to all applicants over the age of 19, who do not hold formal English and maths qualifications.

Year 1
This course is the second year of the BTEC level 3 Diploma in Public Services and contributes the additional units so that the qualification is equivalent to three A levels. Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners can progress to Higher Education or a relevant industry employment. The BTEC level 3 Extended Diploma in Public Services is a one year programme intended to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills required in the public service industries. Learners will study up to nine units which cover a diverse range including Major incidents, Responding to emergencies and Command and control in the uniformed public services.
