Quantity surveyors operate in all sectors of the construction industry around the world and are mainly responsible for the cost, legal and management delivery on construction and infrastructure projects. Quantity Surveyors work on projects that can range from buildings and infrastructure to residential developments, commercial projects to roads, airports and bridges. Projects can range from small schemes to multi-million pound projects. The range is diverse, and consequently no two days are the same.

This professionally accredited course, by both RICS and CIOB, will teach you how to blend traditional QS skills with modern technologies whilst ensuring you gain the knowledge necessary to become a construction professional in this rewarding discipline.

The course is offered as a three year full time, four year with industrial placement or five years for those already in employment.

The BSc (Honours) in Quantity Surveying enables you to:

improve your employability by offering practical experience of Quantity Surveying of the principles, roles and purposes of a Quantity Surveyor;
develop additional transferable skills in the terms of IT, team-building, independent learning skills, self-motivated academic enquiry and personal development
study for a degree accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) to help you on your professional career path

2019 Entry
GCSE English and Maths at grade C+/4. No equivalences are accepted.
PLUS EITHER

A Level minimum of AA or CCC.
BTEC QCF Extended Diploma grade MMM, BTEC QCF Diploma grade DD
Access to HE Diploma full award (Pass of 60 credits - of which a minimum of 45 credits must be at level 3 including 18 at Merit or Distinction)
