Rational Application Developer (RAD) / Eclipse Tips and Tricks

Course Objectives
The material covers the basics of the IDE including the window layout, toolbars and editors, through to the creation and deployment of all web elements including HTML, JSP, Servlets, JavaBeans, and Enterprise JavaBeans. During the Course the student will gain practical experience in using many aspects of RAD. On completion of this Course the student will be able to use RAD to:

• Configure and Customise the development environment
• Develop HTML and JSP pages
• Develop all Java based technologies including Java applications, Servlets (including JDBC), JavaBeans and Enterprise JavaBeans
• Develop XML documents and associated files, e.g. Schemas, DTD's etc.
• Access database configurations and include these into applications
• Use the supplied wizards to create items ranging from simple files to complete applications.
• Deploy web projects into Websphere App Server
