We’ll provide you with the psychological research expertise you need for the behavioural sciences. You will develop the skills you need to critically evaluate research and formulate forward-thinking research questions. We’ll also enhance the skills you need to conduct research, analyse your results and communicate the findings to others. The course provides an ideal stepping stone for research at a PhD level.

We’ve designed our course so that you can develop numerous approaches to your research and combine them in your own way. After completing it, you will have developed a unique individual repertoire of research skills.

About this course

The human mind shapes cultures, creates history and controls how we perceive and experience life. Our MSc Research Methods in Psychology course will inspire you to delve deep beneath the surface of psychology and discover the wide range of research methods used to understand it.

Ranging from the study of social groups to the neuro-imaging of brain activity, you’ll cover a rich variety of contemporary psychological research methods. We’ll also make sure you benefit from a valuable combination of study and hands-on research experience.

A minimum of a 2:2 UK honours degree in Psychology, or a recognised international equivalent.
