- The Collapse of Liberalism and Triumph of Fascism in Italy 1896-1943 and Spain - Republicanism, Civil War and Francoism 1931-1975
Unit 2: British history depth studies
- The Reign of Henry VIII 1509-1540 or
- The Changing Position of Women and the Suffrage Question 1860-1930 or
- Great Britain and Ireland 1867-1922
Unit 3: Depth studies and historical controversies
- Protest, Crisis and Rebellion in England 1536-1588
or - Challenging Authority in Britain 1760-1830
or - A World Divided 1944-1990
Unit 4: Historical Enquiry (coursework)
- The Golden Age of Spain 1474-1598
or - Britain and India 1845-1947
This is a 4,000 word and two part assignment which allows you to research events and individuals, and develop your own ideas about the period.
