Understand the concept of respect and dignity by giving examples of dignified care in practice.
Understand ways of overcoming identified barriers to providing care in a respectful and dignified manner.
Understand how dignity is promoted – or neglected – in health and social care.
Understand actions you can take to raise awareness of, and challenge, practice that lacks respect and dignity.
Recognise that dignified care is a multidisciplinary responsibility by describing the role other health and care providers can play in providing dignified care.
