What will this course cover?
This module aims to provide you with the opportunity to develop the skills you require in order to clinically understand and undertake a respiratory assessment.
Some of the key content within this course includes:
- Concepts of specialist practice in respiratory care
- Key determinants of respiratory disease
- Linking respiratory anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology to respiratory patient therapy assessment and treatment
- Assessment and treatment management decisions for respiratory problems
- Key respiratory assessment skills including interpretation of diagnostic tests and investigation
- Professional issues relating to respiratory assessments: risk management, multi-disciplinary collaboration / communication
