This program will teach you how to manage different social, environmental, safety and risk considerations, so you can achieve the best possible outcomes.The Master of Responsible Resource Development is designed both for current industry professionals who want to improve or update their knowledge and for new graduates who want to diversify their career options.Complete compulsory courses about sustainable development. You'll study the history and theory of sustainability, how it's being addressed by industry at local, national and international levels, the use of relevant tools, and more.Choose one specialised field of study from three different options. Fields are intended to deepen your knowledge of the role of sustainability in the extractives industry and will advance your skills in areas such as research, leadership, and management.Undertake a research project on a topic relevant to community, environment, or risk management in the mineral resources sector. Entry requirementsDegree equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree in a relevant field with a GPA of at least 5.0 on a 7 point scale. For the Graduate Diploma in Responsible Resource Development, a student is required to complete one of the following:
- GDipRespResDev with a field of study, #16 from the GDipRespResDev course list comprising -
- #2 from Part A; and
- #6 from Part B in the chosen field of study; and
- #2 from Part C; and
- #6 from Part D, with at least #2 from the chosen field of study.
- GDipRespResDev with no field of study, #16 from the GDipRespResDev course list comprising -
- #2 from Part A; and
- #6 from Part B; and
- #2 from Part C; and
- #6 from Part D.
For the Master of Responsible Resource Development, a student is required to complete one of the following:
- MRespResDev with a field of study, #24 from the MRespResDev course list comprising -
- #2 from Part A; and
- #6 from Part B in the chosen field of study; and
- #2 from Part C; and
- #6 from Part D, with at least #2 from the chosen field of study and #2 from Part D1; and
- #8 from Part E.
- MRespResDev with no field of study, #24 from the MRespResDev course list comprising -
- #2 from Part A; and
- #6 from Part B in any field of study; and
