This is a work-based qualification where candidates are expected to provide evidence of their competency whilst performing their everyday tasks.
There are no exams and the candidate is supported throughout the process with a personal assessor. The courses are structured to meet the needs of the individual.

Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this qualification. However, candidates must have the potential and opportunity to gain the qualifications successfully and candidates should not be entered for a retailing qualification of the same type, content and level relevant to which they already hold.

Course programme
Course Delivery:
Each qualification is broken down into specific units. There is one mandatory unit and a selection of optional units with a credit value for each. The choice of optional units is tailored to the candidate’s duties and responsibilities and to meet the specific rules of combination for the level of qualification.
Candidates are required to collect a portfolio of evidence sufficient to meet all learning outcomes for knowledge and performance within each unit. This will include candidate answers and assessor observations, over a period of time, during workplace activity or tutorial sessions.
