In software development projects, many test analysts run out of time. More often than not, testing is squeezed in order to meet the production deadline. Fortunately, risk based testing provides a way to de-scope tests in a logical manner and allows visibility of the risk coverage. It allows the project stakeholders to make sound business decisions based on the testing team’s assessment of risks, both mitigated and residual. This course shows how risk fits into the test process. It introduces risk identification, risk assessment and risk management. Various types of risk analysis are explored. Participants will learn how these can be used to focus testing and to help generate test cases and test procedures to achieve the necessary coverage.
