Description

The international Master’s programme in robotics and intelligent systems is an exciting two-year programme for students with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering. The programme is offered by the nationally and internationally renowned Centre for Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems (AASS) at Örebro University.


Within the programme, students learn, among other things, about the methods used by autonomous vehicles to know where they are, how the navigation software in your phone finds the best route, and about the sensors that robots and intelligent systems use to perceive the world, as well as machine learning methods used by computers to make difficult choices or learn to recognise the patterns around them.

· Requirements

A first-cycle degree of at least 180 credits, with computer science as the main field of study, and at least 15 credits in mathematics (analysis and algebra). In addition, knowledge of English corresponding to the course "English B" or "English 6" from the Swedish Upper Secondary School is required. What I would highlight: I love how international the programme is! Literally, you have classmates and the teachers from all around the world. For this reason, the class is full of different academic backgrounds, resulting in a melting pot of ideas.

What I would highlight: Since the beginning, Örebro University was top of my list whilst I was looking for a university. I was pretty impressed about the international research carried out at AASS and the university's School of Science and Technology. I like that all the lecturers are researchers from very different backgrounds, the multicultural environment and hanging out at the campus with students from other programmes.

What I would highlight: What attracted me the most was the size of Örebro, a big enough town to have a high-quality university but small enough to be close to nature. Moving here was an easy choice for me and, as it is similar to my hometown in Germany, I felt like home. The programme has amazing teachers, I can strongly recommend others to apply.
