About this course
All candidates must hold the RSPH Certificate in Nutrition and Health or have experience in a relevant subject.

Dr Lisa Gatenby
Course Tutor/Nutritionist
Lisa completed her PhD looking at packed lunches and school dinners, their nutritional content and putting this into context with food consumed throughout a full day. Prior to this Lisa completed a Masters of Medical Science in Human Nutrition at the University of Sheffield, having previously graduated with honours from Leeds Metropolitan University with a degree in Food Systems and Quality Management. Lisa has a practical background gained working within the hospitality industry as a chef and in food development with the food industry. She is a qualified and Registered Nutritionist.
Gill Hooper
Trainer
Gill is a Lecturer and Home Economist and has experience of working in schools and colleges teaching Nutrition and Food and practical cooking skills. She graduated with an honours degree in Home Economics from Leeds Polytechnic and has been teaching in further and higher education for 17 years. Gill’s main academic interests involve increasing children’s, young people and families’ knowledge of food, nutrition and health. She has worked with Lisa Gatenby on the Cooking Communities project.

Entry Requirements All candidates must hold the RIPH Certificate in Nutrition and Health or have experience in a relevant subject.
