Course programme

What Will I Learn

This course helps our students to reach their full potential. They are specially designed to provide an open entry route to further study and offer a first step on the ladder opportunity for students who may not yet be ready for higher level courses.

Students will be given the opportunity to study and gain practical experience in a range of land-based industries including agriculture, horticulture, landscaping, conservation, animal care and more. Developing skills for employment is also part of this course.

The course will run for 20 weeks, 4 days a week

How Will I Learn

The NC Rural Skills course is a combination of practical skills and theory.

Progression Opportunities

On successful completion students may progress to specialist SCQF Level 5 National Certificate courses such as Countryside Management, Horticulture, Landscaping, Agriculture, Animal Care, Equine, Activity Tourism and Agricultural or Horticultural Engineering or to SVQs at Level 2.
