Safe Handling & Disposal of Hypodermic Needles

Duration - One day.

Discarded sharps can present a risk of needle stick injury. Infection from such an injury can lead to severe health conditions.

Any personnel whose job involves site maintenance/cleaning activities are most likely to be at risk. Litter picking, emptying litter bins and general grounds maintenance work are all tasks where discarded syringes may be discovered.

This course aims to help delegates understand and avoid the risks of dealing with needle stick injuries.
