Course Description:
It aims to provide employees with an
increased understanding of the use of medication and its
possible side effects. This qualification is studied by distance
learning with tutor support.

Description Breakdown:
120 guided learning hours completed over four months.
By the end of the training, employees should have:
• an understanding of the classification of drugs
• an awareness of how medication is dispensed, administered
and possible side effects
• an understanding of legislation
• a knowledge of quality control and the role of the pharmacist
• an awareness of responsibility, accountability and
confidentiality in respect of medicines.
