Safe Operation of Dumper Trucks

This course is suitable for candidates wishing to acquire the basic handling techniques of this important machine. Emphasis will be placed on safety and candidates should possess some experience of operating similar machines. The NPTC certificate will be endorsed according to the load capacity of dumper truck used for assessment which will be less than 10 tons.

Course Content:

• Identifying key aspects of legislation applying to the safe preparation and operation of a dumper truck
• Undertaking a verbal hazard & risk assessment on the site and machine
• Carrying out daily and routine maintenance on a dumper truck
• Stating the identified knowledge underpinning the driving of a dumper truck
• Stating the procedures to be observed when cleaning and inspecting the dumper truck and reporting defects
• Preparing, manoeuvring and operating the dumper truck without risk to yourselves or others

Cost: £POA per person - to include training and NPTC registration, assessment and certification

Equipment required: protective clothing and work boots (with safety toe caps)
