Course aims

To provide core knowledge of legislation, policy and procedures for effective safeguarding practice.

Course objectives

Trainer's names and qualifications
Externally commissioned trainers and trainer practitioners with verified safeguarding children and training experience.

Additional information
Sessions include presentation and discussion of sensitive material on child abuse and neglect. It is recognised that some of us may have shared these experiences or be close to others who have and may need to seek out available sources of support including space out of the session or during breaks.

Target groups
Clinical and Non-clinical staff who have frequent contact with parents, children and young people.

Interactive, small group work, scenarios, self evaluation questionnaire.
