Course review:

Hoists play an increasingly important role in the safe moving and handling of people. Coupled with the growing complexity and diversity of hoists, this means that adequate training is now more important than ever. RoSPA's new one-day course offers all those who have previous manual handling experience the opportunity to devote a full day to the theory and practice of the safe use of hoists in a unique and fully-equipped people care centre.

What will the delegate bring back to the workplace?

  • An overview of current legislation
  • Knowledge of the types of hoists and slings available and the importance of applying the principles of safer handling when using a hoist and fitted sling
  • The ability to conduct a hoist and sling assessment
