The purpose of this course is to:

• provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform a bookkeeper to trial balance function using Sage Pastel Accounting Partner Version 12;
• help you deliver a significant return on investment back to your employer
• ensure that you are competent enough to perform any Pastel‐related tasks that will be assigned to you in the workplace; and
• allow you to apply your skills immediately after you have completed your training.

On successful completion of the course, you'll be able to do the following;

• Install and register Pastel Partner Version 12
• Open a company in Pastel Partner and navigate in Pastel Partner
• Set up a company using the Pastel setup assistant
• Use the Auto Setup menu and process feature
• Edit the general ledger, suppliers, inventory and customers
• Take on general ledger, customer, supplier and inventory balances
• Read, interpret and understand the To Do Lists and Notes on Processing
• Create a purchase order, goods received notes, supplier invoices, returns and debits and supplier journals
• Create quotations, sales orders, tax invoices, credit and debit notes and customer journals
• Process transactions in the cash book and do inter-account transfers
• Implement monthly processes for customers and suppliers; implement other monthly processes and process transactions in the cash book
• Use the advanced functions in the File, Change and Utility Menus
• Use the advanced functions in the General Ledger
• Use customer and supplier advanced functions
• Identify different syntaxes and use the General Ledger Report Writer.
