Course information

What will the course cover?

• Structure of the nail, basic anatomy & physiology (hand & arm)
• Client consultation, contra-indications, client care

• Natural nail preparation
• Salon System profile product knowledge
• Tip application
• UV/LED gel and acrylic nail enhancements
• Sculptured nails using the acrylic method
• Maintenance, rebalancing, removals
• Promotion & marketing of your new skill

What do I need to know before I start the course?

Students must remove artificial nail structures prior to the course & also be prepared to have nail extensions applied and removed. Refreshments will be provided but please bring your own lunch.

Will I need to bring any materials?

All materials will be provided for the duration of the course. The following may be needed to buy during the 6-8 week period prior to the exam:
Manicure Kit
Gellux Polish Kit
Acrylux Kit
Gellux UV/LED Hard Gel Kit
Gellux LED Pro-Lamp

How will the course be assessed?

Observation of practical skills along with oral questioning. An assessment for all systems learnt will take place approx. 6-8 weeks later. Additional practice at home is mandatory for the exam.
