About UsThe School of Built Environment and Engineering was formed in February 2007, as a result of the restructuring of the University into 5 schools of study.The School incorporates the following subject areas: * Construction * Civil Engineering * Health & Safety * Electronic Engineering * Mechanical Engineering * Automobile Engineering * Product Design & Development * Fashion & TextilesThe School is managed by the Dean of School, Alan Cornthwaite, and five Principal Lecturers each with responsibility for a specific area activity, namely; * Subject Leader Built Environment and Health and Safety * Subject Leader Engineering and Design * Professional Standards and Practice * Research & Enterprise * Marketing and External RelationsOur professoriate consists of two professors, Professor Myler (Engineering Analysis & Design) and Professor Chirwa (Automotive & Aerospace Structures), together with two Readers in the Built Environment area. ...
