Description
The School of Engineering is a recently-established and modern School which offers Honours Degrees of MEng & BEng, and postgraduate opportunities in a wide range of topics across the spectrum of engineering activity. It has a large undergraduate population of around 600 students and approximately 75 postgraduate researchers, and is the only genuine School of General Engineering in Scotland. The School has a strong tradition of success in research with an international reputation in a number of areas including applied dynamics, impact mechanics, engineering materials, sediment transport, communications protocols, and holography.All areas of research in the School are supported by modern laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment and fully networked computing facilities including major engineering commercial software. There is excellent technical support provided by electronic and mechanical engineering workshops.
