Reviews on School of Medical Sciences - University of Aberdeen
More information
Description
The School of Medical Sciences was formed in Autumn 2003 by merging the former Departments of Biomedical Sciences, Molecular & Cell Biology and Biomedical Physics & Bioengineering. The School has wide ranging research interests and therefore offers undergraduate and postgraduate training across many basic and applied biomedical disciplines. There are particular research strengths in Microbiology and in Physiology, both areas that were rated of international excellence (5) in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise. Much of our cutting-edge research takes place in the new, state-of-the-art, Institute of Medical Sciences, which houses around 300 research workers.
