This Schools First Aid course for School Staff includes the Emergency First Aid at Work (statutory) course, which complies with the current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Successful students receive certificates to show that they are qualified to be First Aiders in the workplace for the next three years.
The Blended Schools Emergency First Aid at Work course is split in to two parts; a two hour e-Learning component and then a four hour tutor-led classroom based component. The e-Learning component can be stopped and re-started, so does not have to be sat in one six hour session, but must be completed before the tutor-led classroom day!

Schools Emergency First Aid at Work Course - Blended (33% online & 67% Classroom)
This Schools First Aid course for School Staff includes the Emergency First Aid at Work (statutory) course, which complies with the current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Successful students receive certificates to show that they are qualified to be First Aiders in the workplace for the next three years.
The Blended Schools Emergency First Aid at Work course is split in to two parts; a two hour e-Learning component and then a four hour tutor-led classroom based component. The e-Learning component can be stopped and re-started, so does not have to be sat in one six hour session, but must be completed before the tutor-led classroom day!
Delegates will be sent details of the online part of the course approximately fourteen days before the tutor-led classroom based day. The online part must be successfully completed before the tutor-led classroom day (short assessment at the end of the e-Learning with a maximum of three attempts).
You will cover:
- Health and safety (first aid) regulations
- Managing an incident
- The priorities of first aid
- Treatment of an unresponsive casualty
- Resuscitation (Adult & Child) including the basic use of a defibrillator (AED)
- Shock
- Bleeding (including grazes, nose-bleeds and small wounds)
- Seizures
- Burns
- Stroke
- Anaphylaxis
- Common school injuries (including a Question & Answer session)
