How long is the course?34 weeks.
Location- Derby Road
Assessment is by external examination (80%), which comprises three short papers, and coursework (20%), which consists of reports from class practical work.
What will I study?The course is divided into three sections:
Biology: This involves topics such as cell structure, digestion, response to stimuli, transport, ecology, genetics, evolution.
Chemistry: Topics covered include atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical reactions, rates of reactions, oil, and industrial chemistry.
Physics: This section will cover electric circuits, electromagnetism, waves, sound, light, radioactivity, the earth and the universe.
Please note - single GCSE Science does not provide access to the college's A Levels in science-related subjects, which require the double grade of BB.
