There are no specific entry requirements, just an enthusiasm to learn. Basic hand sewing and sewing machine skills would be an advantage.This course is open to any person wishing to learn or improve sewing skills and dress/costume construction techniques.

During this course students will have the option of learning how to construct a garment using a commercial pattern, by adapting a commercial pattern or drafting a pattern to their own design. The garment can be made for a Man, Woman or Child. Students will be taught the skills required to complete a quality made garment.

A basic sewing kit including:

tape measure

hand sewing needles

pins

Fabric Scissors

paper scissors

masking tape

pencils

Pattern, fabric and sewing notions to complete a garment.
