"The shaper is the one who is involved in shaping work such as mechanical parts, in this case specifically for sheet metal. Shaping is the work of giving a defined shape to a structure or material. The cutting, bending and therefore the shaping of the sheet metal is one of the most frequent operations regarding metal processing. The shaping of the sheet metal allows you to give any shape to the latter and allows you to make artifacts of all types. The shaping can take place through different tools, from the oldest to the most modern ones such as laser cutting. The shape, therefore, better known as a pattern, is a representation on paper of the scraps of fabric that make up a dress, and is used to cut the fabric. A paper pattern can be obtained in several ways: drawing with the use of special teams, tracing industrial cards or models from a magazine; using a cutting method learned in a specific school, from a book or by working in a traditional tailor's shop. Once the person's measurements have been taken, the type of dress to be constructed is established. There are endless choices; it will be the tailor's experience and the physical conformation of the individual to be dressed to dictate the choice. It is therefore necessary to identify: the line, that is the silhouette and the overall vision of the garment; cuts, for example at the waist or under the breast; filming (uncut fabric) or scrap (cut fabric); details of curling, folds, drapes or pleats; the neckline or collar; The Sleeve; any pockets or fastenings; the scratch, i.e. the variation of hollow sleeve compared to the basic model; the lengths and finally the finishes.
