During this short course you will explore different ways to interpret and depict the human figure using a range of media and techniques. Experimenting with various techniques in line, tone and mark-making you will work on a series of rapid sketches as well as a more extended pose. The course will help you to develop your observational skills, creative thinking and personal visual language.

This course is perfect for beginners new to life drawing but will also appeal to those with experience.

Course programme

You will study drawing the figure using a range of materials, techniques and processes.

You will be guided through from the basics of life drawing into composition, using tone and then into colour. This friendly and relaxed class will really give you the chance to develop your drawing skills.

This part-time, evening course has start dates in September, January and April and will take 10 weeks to complete.
