Course suitability

This course is suitable for anyone interesting in silk painting, whether you are new to this technique or have had some experience.

Entry qualifications

No experience required. Both beginners and students with some experience are welcome.

Information about the course

This course is designed to introduce you to the basic techniquess used in silk painting.

Course content

You will be taught to mount silk onto a frame and apply paint using wet-on-wet water techniques.

Additionality

The tutor will provide all necessary materials for the first lesson - please bring approx £2 to cover the costs. Additional materials will need to be supplied each week by the students.

Assessment

No formal assessment.

Progression

Advice and guidance on further learning and progression opportunities will be given during the course. Students can progress onto the Silk Painting for Camisoles and More Silk Painting courses.

Payment options: UK/EU Fee : £100.00 Overseas Fee : £160.00 Part-time enrolments are subject to an additional annual registration fee of £10 payable once only per academic year (exemptions may apply).
