Silversmithing (Specialist)

These three, ten week courses are designed to encourage development of advanced silversmithing techniques and to allow you to specialise in your chosen area. The courses are suitable for those with some experience in silversmithing.
Course 1, 2 and 3: Select from a range of stone setting techniques, forming techniques, enamelling, casting, hinges, joints and clasps etc. Students may specialise in a different technique each 10 weeks or continue their specialism for the entire year if they choose. These courses are intended to be flexible in content, to enable you to refine selected advanced jewellery making techniques. You will be expected to do some research and design work appropriate to your specialism. Each course can be independent of the others - skills will be taught for each specialism as needed. Students will be expected to work independently and produce work of a high standard and quality finish.
