About this course
Standard entry to this course is one reference. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90% attendance in your last place of study or work. A GCSE in both English and maths at grade 3 or above (D), plus an additional two GCSEs grade 3 (D) or above including a technology/design based subject.
Consideration will be given to applicants over the age of 19 without formal English and maths qualifications.

You will learn about health, safety and environmental issues faced on construction sites, and how to communicate with others on the job. You will also learn practical skills specific to site carpentry, including how to carry out first fix flooring and roofing, how to carry out first fix frames, partitions and stairs, how to carry out second fixing operations, how to carry out carpentry maintenance, and how to set up and operate a circular saw
