What's it all about?:
Sometimes all you need is some guidance, a word of reassurance and a generous dash of practical help to set you off on the right path. Sometimes you need a little bit more. Our level 4 individual learning plan course is for those who need just a little more rather than a little less. We will help you tackle any areas in your learning or work that you feel unsure about, so you can set off on your life path with confidence.

Progression:
Having successfully completed this course you can progress to other College courses, take up a training place or find employment.

Entry Requirements:
Entry criteria includes:
• the ability to read and recognise key words and phrases (basic numerical skills are desirable)
• the ability to understand and put into action verbal instruction
• the ability to communicate with others appropriately
• willingness to undertake a work placement
• willingness to participate in all parts of the course.

What does the course involve?:

The course aims to:
• help you improve your educational and vocational skills
• help you achieve appropriate qualifications
• develop your individual potential
• increase your work skills and understand the world of work
• develop your ability to meet the demands of the workplace.

The course includes:
• Functional skills
• work skills and work placement
• personal development
• vocational sampling
• the opportunity to follow individual learning interests.

When can I study?:
Four days a week

Are there any exams?:
You will have regular one-to-one tutorials throughout the course, during which your progress will be checked and your individual learning plan reviewed. Your achievement will be recorded in a progress file. You will have the opportunity to achieve recognised qualifications if appropriate.

Instalments are available for course fees. A deposit of £400.00 per year is payable before enrolment followed by three monthly payments of £400.00 per year

If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees are not applicable for your course (Please note: this does not apply to foundation degrees).

Please note that fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2009/10 (August 2009 - July 2010). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2010/11.
