If you have learning difficulties/disabilities, then this course is about learning and adapting skills to work and live independently to get the most out of your life. In our friendly and informal atmosphere, our experienced tutors will guide you to practice key skills necessary to thrive independently. Working in small groups and, with additional one-to-one coaching sessions, you pace your progress to feel comfortable and confident.

Progression:
Having successfully completed this course you can progress to other College courses, take up a training place or find employment.

Entry Requirements:
There are no specific entry requirements. However, you will be invited to attend an informal interview to assess your suitability for the course.

What does the course involve?:

The course aims to:
• help you become more independent
• give you more confidence
• teach you basic work and life skills.

You will work at your own level in basic work and vocational skills.

When can I study?:
Various days, 9.00am - 3.30pm, five, ten or 15 hours per week

Continuous assessments will take place throughout the course.
