Level One Project SEARCH is a unique opportunity for young people with learning disabilities who are serious about getting into paid work. You will develop your employment skills by working in real jobs at Derriford Hospital. You will be supported to experience three different work areas as you learn the skills that employers are looking for. As well as working in the hospital, you will be expected to complete related coursework. You will be supported by experienced
teaching and employment advisory staff.

Course programme
On successful completion you may progress into paid employment,
Apprenticeships or further individualised vocational training.
You will need to:
- be 18 to 24 years of age at the start of the course
- have a learning disability
- have a good record of timekeeping and attendance
- be prepared to work Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.00pm
- have some previous work experience
- not be on jobseekers allowance during the course.
