The qualification will develop a wide range of personal, interpersonal, and work related skills, learned through the context of vocational areas. Work experience will be provided through group work on community garden projects and habitat management at local nature reserves.
Maths and English lessons take place on one day a week, this will either be Functional Skills and/or target based, dependent on prior achievement and student ability levels following initial assessments.
Course units are made up of; Planning for Progression, Effective Communication, Show Visitors Around a Wildlife Area, Recognise Plant Parts, Harvest a Crop, Recognise Materials Used in Floristry, Refurbish or Reuse an item

Course programme
Entry Requirements
No formal entry qualifications are required for this course, but you will need to attend an assessment day to ensure that your practical ability is of a level to be able to achieve the qualification.
Delivery and Assessment
Assessment is through observation of practical tasks and the building of a folder of work. Maths/English functional skills will be exam based.
