Course Summary

Learn how to safely and efficiently operate a skiploader.

On completion of the course you will understand the statutory requirements and the need for safety training. The course covers capacities and stability, operating safety code, machine and control familiarisation, daily checks and fault reporting, vehicle positioning, loading and unloading procedures, tipping procedures and much more.

As a record of your achievement, a TAL certificate of training is provided.

Course Objectives

This course covers the use of skip loading equipment involving the daily inspection, use of loading and offloading of skip containers and also the tipping of skips; it is intended for both novice and experienced operators, (see course duration).

This course meets the relevant statutory requirements of the Health and Safety at Work etc., Act 1974, and other relevant statutory provisions (e.g. Health and Safety Management Regulations 1992 and Provision and use of Work equipment Regulations 1992). The course has been designed in consultation with the manufacturer to ISO9001 course design standards.

Course Duration

1-2 days depending on delegates’ experience and specific applications of the appliance – 4 x delegates per course
