What I would highlight:
I chose to study at Skoltech because it allowed me to receive a world-class education, while also experiencing life in a foreign country. As a foreigner, Skoltech offered me this unique opportunity. Nowhere else could I live out my dream of living abroad in a cosmopolitan city like Moscow while studying at a top university.
I enjoyed Skoltech because of the opportunities to work closely with my peers. Skoltech encourages collaboration and team projects, and as a student, you will often be working with students with different scientific interests than you. I know that exposure to their ideas left me not only a specialist in my particular field of study upon graduation, but also well-versed in the important issues in science today.
I also enjoyed working on real-world problems. Skoltech teaches its students to make an impact, and this means that you learn how to create something that people can use. Although problem sets are a part of the curriculum, you will more often than not find yourself developing a physical prototype or coding an app.

What I would highlight:
I decided to pursue my masters in Space Systems at Skoltech when I got to know how this newly established institute is creating positive ripples in the international scientific community. The experienced faculty and advanced research facilities available in Skoltech are very appealing for every engineering student. The Skoltech-MIT collaboration was also a deciding factor.
The environment at Skoltech is extremely friendly and motivating. The dynamic team of faculty and staff makes it easier for international students to adjust to the life in Moscow. True to its vision, Skoltech strives on research, innovation and entrepreneurship. The students are encouraged to be proactive, keen on taking initiatives and making an impact in the society. The close link with industry is beneficial for students to experience industrial immersion and get a job after graduation.
Skoltech space courses are well designed that allow practical applications of theoretical knowledge: we have made robots, drones and satellite payloads from scratch as part of these courses. New ideas are always welcome and most of the time turned into reality at Skoltech!

What I would highlight:
I choose Skoltech for several reasons. The first one is that I was studying Chemistry (oil refining) at Lomonosov MSU and at Skoltech I found an interesting Petroleum Engineering program. It seemed to me logical to cover both upstream and downstream, before going to work at a large oil corporation and aiming for low/middle-management positions.
The second reason is that while I was studying at MSU, I was building (or at least was trying) a startup. I truly believe that Skoltech is a great place for entrepreneurs. Here you can receive a lot of support for your ideas: connections, mentoring, entrepreneurial workshops and lectures, opportunity to visit local and international startup events, find a co-funder, it is even possible to get the first investment. This is sort of an incubator where people around you are ready to help, but you have to take the initiative yourself.
Another great thing about Skoltech is the American education style. You can choose classes yourself, all of them are entirely in English, professors often become your friends (if you are lucky and friendly enough, you can even grab a beer with them at the end of the course).
The last but not least, you will have a pretty good stipend. ;)

What I would highlight:
Being part of Skoltech community is a great experience, which reviews cannot truly describe.
In terms of innovative and challenging education, Skoltech is the best option, making you think outside of your comfort zone, and face real-life problems in research and industry.

What I would highlight:
After one year in Skoltech, I can say that this is a place with a very bright community and it is unique in its kind.
There are surprisingly many opportunities for MSc students: you can choose and focus on the skills that will be useful in the industry, you can start your own startup, and you can immediately start doing serious research.
Also, if you will work hard you will be able to travel around the world showing the results at conferences or try yourself as a researcher in one of the best research groups on your subject, as I happened to spend a semester in Belgium.

What I would highlight:
Skoltech is very different comparing to traditional universities. I chose Skoltech in 2012 because I felt this is a unique opportunity - to be among best people, be in the middle of the entrepreneurial science. And also experience the foreign approach to education.
