The BSc (Hons.) Soccer Coaching and Performance degree is a ‘fast-track’ degree, which is delivered over 2 years, instead of the typical 3 for an undergraduate course. The course aims to provide aspiring soccer coaches from both the U.K and abroad with the opportunity to acquire the appropriate skills, and develop the specific knowledge required to gain employment in the soccer industry, both in the U.K and internationally.
This course is delivered by a highly motivated and well-qualified team of academics, as well as expert UEFA licenced soccer coaches. The course combines the disciplines of soccer coaching, F.A. coach education, performance and match analysis, as well as training and conditioning to enhance soccer players’ development and maximise their performance. The knowledge and theories developed from these disciplines will be applied to soccer coaching and ultimately put in to practice on the soccer field.
The course delivery is supported by our partners, which include the English Premier League (EPL) soccer team Stoke City F.C. and the Sir Stanley Mathews Coaching Foundation, amongst others. Therefore, incorporated in to your study will be a guaranteed work placement which will provide you with the opportunity to gain a valuable insight in to the inner-workings of a professional soccer club, or the development of soccer in the U.K. at a community level.
