The short course will also explore the innovative pedagogy which surrounds the use of such devices, and will examine the claims made by educators and policy makers, regarding social media - and technology more broadly - in learning.
Social media is fast becoming a dominant cultural form. These platforms and technologies offer a unique field of learning experiences for teachers of all subjects and levels.
Throughout this course, you will be expected to build your own research projects to measure the impact of social media in the classroom. Additionally, the theories of technological determinism, social determinism and technological push/pull will be analysed, in relation to social media.
You will meet experts in the field of social media, and educational technology and will be exposed to the latest research and thinking, in this fast evolving area.
