Course programme
You will need to nominate the unit of study that you would like to enrol in. Please refer to the Education and Social Work handbooks online and ensure that the units of study you are interested in have no prerequisites. You need to be able to meet the same prerequisites as students enrolled in an award course at the University of Sydney (or have completed equivalent units of study at another institution) to be able to enrol in any particular unit of study.
Once you have identified the unit of study that you would like to enrol in, use the online application form on the right hand side of this page to begin the application process. You will be required to supply your academic history with your application. Please attach complete, officially certified academic transcripts for all secondary- and tertiary-level studies undertaken, except those undertaken at the University of Sydney. On top of your online application, you are also required to download and complete the supplementary form.
If you wish to undertake one or more units of study for your own interest or for other reasons, you may enrol in single units as a non-award student. Admission as a non-award student is assessed on an individual basis. Non-award students pay full tuition fees to undertake a unit of study or subject offered in the Faculty of Education and Social Work without being enrolled in a specific course or degree.
If you would like to apply for non-degree study, you should consult the Faculty of Education and Social Work Handbook or the Faculty website to identify units of study in which you would like to enrol at the University of Sydney.
