Sociology examines human social action, with an emphasis on human diversity, social inequality, and the processes that govern groups, organizations, communities, cultures and nation-states. Starting with a broad foundation of introductory courses, you’ll focus on social categories including age, citizenship, class, family, gender, race and religion.

You'll learn about human cultural patterns as you study rituals, politics, economics and worldviews throughout human history and around the globe.
