3. Entry requirements --6 GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Maths--Good essay writing skills are essential for this subject-- 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Assessment for AS level Sociology is by two written exams each of 1 hour and 30 minutes and worth 50% of the overall AS exam. The exams involve a mixture of short answers and extended writing. These exams will be sat at the end of the first year and do not contribute to the final A-level.
